Karpov was world champion in 1975 and 1986 and between 1993 and 1999. The signatures in very good condition. Karpov has won the Chess Oscar, an award voted by journalists since 1967 (with a break from 1989–1994), and awarded to the chess player considered to have played the best during the year. Karpov has won it nine times, 1973–1977, 1979–1981 and 1984. Leonov became the first human to leave a spacecraft and conduct a spacewalk; it happened outside Voschod 2 on March 18, 1965. Leonov was the commander of Soyuz 19. Soyuz 19 which was part of the Apollo-Soyuz Test Project and docked with an American Apollo spacecraft in July 1975. Leonov also worked as an artist and he also became the first to make a sketch of the globe from space. He has illustrated over ten books. Leonov has been appointed major general by Putin for his exploits. The autographs written on an Olympic document dated December 6, 1983. They are framed with three black-and-white photos for a 40 x 40 cm board. The glass on the board is cracked but does not affect the signatures. All proceeds go to Doctors Without Borders. The autographs personally taken by Uno Grönkvist. Provenance: Uno Grönkvist's autograph collection.
