About 38x134 cm HISTORY: John Hennings, who was actually a carpenter, got the idea in the early 1800s to make it in miniature format from the English who had recently acquired the Parthenon frieze, his idea was to cast it in plaster so that more people could access it, unfortunately he soon lost the control over reproduction that ran rampant, very few reliefs from his time survive.
