comprising: seventeen table spoons, 21.5cm long, twenty three three-prong table forks, 20cm long, twenty four dessert spoons, 17.2cm long, twenty four three-prong dessert forks, 17.5cm long, pair of sauce ladles, 18.5cm long, soup ladle, 34.5cm long and a pair of gravy spoons, 30.5cm long, twenty four table knives, the steel blades stamped Garrard, London, 27cm long, twenty four cheese knives, the steel blades stamped Garrard, London, 21.5cm long, three carving knives, the steel blades stamped Garrard, London and four carving forks, 6112g weighable, 197ozs weighable, each engraved with a monogram below a coronet, in a metal bound stained pine canteen box, with side carrying handles, with green baize lined fitted interior and three lift-out trays, an R & S Garrard Ltd, Goldsmiths, Silversmiths & Jewellers in ordinary to Her Majesty the Queen printed and hand written list of the contents afixed inside the cover, the cover applied with a silver plaque inscribed 'PRESENTED TO COUNTESS OF BECTIVE BY HER MANY FRIENDS IN AND AROUND LUNESDALE 1894', the case 55cm wide x 35cm deep x 19.5cm high, with a key.

Condition

surface scratches, typical signs of wear and use, the tines of many of the table forks of uneven length through use, otherwise the flatware in generally good condition, blades rusted and many handles coming away from where they meet the blade, the wooden case heavily worn and marked and lacking one metal corner mount.
