the circular mirror plate within ebonised reeded slip, the moulded frame with applied spheres, and eagle surmount, flanked by leafy scrolls, the base with gadrooned moulding,
108cm overall height, 66cm maximum width.

Selected contents of a Wiltshire Manor and Baronial Scottish estate.

Condition

some loss to the gesso especially on the spheres, and high points, the eagle neck restored, old repairs and bronze paint restorations, a good deal of the original gilding present however.
