The book is accompanied by a handwritten letter from Fernand Mourlot to a Karl Stefansson in Södertälje dated March 11, 1982. The letter is on 1 A 4 page with Fernand Mourlot's printed letterhead. Mourlot thanks Stefansson for his appreciation of the book, but says it may not deserve so much sympathy. He ends with a hope that they will get to know each other…”but I am old, very old. Best regards Fernand Mourlot." Mourlot has also signed the book on the half-title page and written a dedication on the title page signed "F Mourlot March 82.Brothers Paul, George and Fernand Mourlot served throughout World War I, where Paul was killed. At the end of World War II, George and Fernand attached to themselves all the great modernists in Paris, Matisse, Braque, Picasso, etc., by letting them work in their studios. Printed by Freres Mourlot became - and is - a concept.
