PA Norstedt & Söners publishing house, Stockholm, 1915. 4:oi a red full morocco binding with gilt spine text and gilt bookplate on front cover. Full gold cut, gilt inner dentils and beautifully marbled endpapers. Front cover bound. Bound at the publisher's own bookbindery. Number 6 of 50 numbered copies in this binding and with a photogravure of Prins Eugen after an etching by Anders Zorn from 1891. With a nice dedication from the author "To my beloved wife" on the front pages: "Where the artist in the mirror of nature saw himself separated from the shackles of being, there we seek the rule of thought that shaped the feeling into an image."This copy is stamped with a bound telegram at the end "to Dr. Axel Gauffin National Museum: Heartiest thanks for....in all respects beautiful book. Eugene." 112 p.

Condition

The band with light traces of use and slightly darkened at the edges. The insert with a faint cellar smell.
