Folio in a contemporary binding with wooden bindings and leather spine. Second edition of the so-called Toussain.bible illustrated with title cups as frontispiece and 6 fold-out copper-stitched maps, one of which is a mappe-monde (world map) and the others over Jersualem., the land of Canaan, etc.

Condition

The copper-struck title page is missing and has been replaced by a facsimile. One of the six maps is also missing, the description of Jerusalem, but it is also available as a facsimile. The band rubbed and with a dull back. The wooden covers with some worm holes. The chip is missing. The insert with brown tinting due to offsetting, i.e. impressions from opposite sides.
