Hexagonal shape. Relief decoration in underglaze blue against a brown glazed background and decoration of peonies, lotus and Chinese characters in blue and underglaze red. At the bottom Xuande's (1426-1435) four-character mark. Height 59 cm.
Provenance: Purchased in England during the 1950s. Formerly probably Collection Lamb, possibly Charles Lamb.

Condition

One vase with repaired crack. Less wear. Bottom with label C. Lamb, B.Lamb.
