
Antique maps. Four (4) antique copper engraved maps from the 17th century, probably from Samuel Pufendorf's The Exploits of Karl X Gustav. 1. Situs Ahlborger fiordt. Map of the Langerak estuary at the Kattegatt. Langerak is a continuation of the Limfjord which changes its name at the city of Ålborg (Aalborg) in Jutland, Denmark. At the time this map was drawn, the fjord was named Ålborgfjorden. (Erik Dahlberg). 2. Map depicting the Little Belt, between Jutland and Funen. The lower half of the map is occupied by Jutland (Iutlandiae septentrionalis)I in hööger. top Holstein and Schleswig (Holsatiae et Sleswiciae - Pars), upper left. of Fyn (Insulae Fyoniae pars). On the left of the map. I see ships involved in a naval battle. North of these can be seen a strongly fortified Fridrichsodde (Fredericia) giving fire from its batteries. 3. Oppidum Midelfartum, Koldinger fjord In the center of the map the town of Middelfart (Oppidum Medelfar) and Koldinger fjord. The upper left field is occupied by Fyn (Insula Fyonia). Lower field of Jutland (Iutlanbdiae pars)I and upper right field of "High Command Holstein" (Ducatus Holsatiae pars) Military troop positions are marked over the entire image surface. 4. Accurata Delineatio Geometrica in Iuthia … Friderici Oddae… (1697). With compass rose at the bottom. The maps measure 35.5 cm. x 44 cm. in paper size. Wide margins.
