The Le Castel clock collection combines the tradition of watchmaking and the ancestral skill of the craftsman.
The case is made of solid linden or pear wood. Decorative strips and feet are made by hand by the wood sculptor. The bronze ornaments are made in the old way in a lost wax mould. These in turn adorn special creations that are intended exclusively for the Le Castel collection. The best artists take over the gilding, which is made of hammered gold leaf according to traditional techniques. Individual decors are therefore specially made for Le Castel models.
The colorful flower decorations, tone-in-tone painting or special subjects are painted exclusively by hand with oil paint. The painters are only tied to a specific decor for a few models, such as the "Jeanjaquet" clock, but mostly the sensibility of the decor painter is given free rein.
The mechanical 8-day precision movements from Le Castel can also be provided with a 3/4 hour strike on request. The copper dial is fired in the furnace and enamelled. Each work is numbered and registered with Le Castel.
