Together with James D. Watson and Maurice Wilkins, Crick discovered the structure of the DNA molecule, for which the three shared the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1962. Pauling also received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1962 for his campaign against extraterrestrial nuclear weapons testing. He is thus the only person to have received two Nobel Prizes as the sole recipient. Three more people have received multiple Nobel Prizes, but then at least one of them has been shared. 2 signed cards approx. 6 x 10 cm (Pauling) and 8 x 12 cm (Crick).
