Colour is often the first thing that catches our eye in a painting. Even before we have managed to discern the subject, we can sense a mood—warm or cool, tranquil or vibrant, dramatic or enigmatic. Colour speaks to us immediately, shaping how we experience the image. It can enhance a subject, evoke emotions, and open the door to new interpretations.
In this presentation, The Power of Colour, we encounter a rich variety of artistic expressions. By tuning into the language of colour, we can discover new dimensions within art. Colour serves as an invitation to see, feel, and interpret—whether you are a seasoned art connoisseur or someone exploring the world of painting for the very first time. At Formstad, we invite everyone to add some colour to their autumn with our most vibrant and diverse auction yet!
