Palsgaard Kunstauktioner presents the catalogue for February Selected, and with it comes a small twist. Alongside the by now familiar Scandinavian studio crafts, this edition also features a generous selection of designer handbags from leading international fashion houses.
Starting with those, we find several models from Louis Vuitton, a true treasure from Chanel, as well as pieces by both Prada and Gucci.
Among the furniture, classics by the most renowned designers are, as usual, interwoven with carefully selected rare pieces that are seldom seen.
In the lighting section, several expressive floor lamps are on display, a “Kuglelamel” hangs from the ceiling, and on a table stands Bent Karlby’s communicative “Ergo”.
And then there is ceramics—partly in the form of lamp bases, but above all vases (take a look at the pale, pale sky-blue example by Lis Ehrenreich) and a rather spectacular piece by Gerd Hiort Petersen.
Add to this modern Danish painting, sculptures in various materials, and a couple of pieces of jewellery from Cartier, and you have a richly packed catalogue comprising nearly 200 lots.
