This collection includes a varied selection of art pottery where the majority is designed by John Andersson.
John Andersson was hired at Andersson & Johansson in 1913 in already in 1914 he worked as a thrower. From 1925 and 15 years onwards he was a travelling salesman, between his trips he oversaw the production at the factory. When they built their new factory in 1943 the built a new oven that allowed them to burn art pottery in higher temperatures. John Andersson designed many models for this production as well as things for everyday use including the classic Old Höganäs designed for the H55 exhibition.
For a person to be active as both thrower, sales representative, designer and manager of the factory is rare.
