Crafoord Auktioner has once again distilled the essence of art and design history, presenting a carefully curated selection of highlights spanning 500 years of craftsmanship and creativity. One of the oldest pieces in this collection is a Gothic signet ring in gilded silver—a true masterpiece of miniature artistry.
Alongside Erik Pauelsen’s 18th-century portrait, we find Isaac Grünewald’s vividly blooming fruit trees—an artwork bursting with life and drenched in the very best of modernism at its peak. From this significant era, we also see Josep De Togores i Llach’s Sunbather, a breathtaking work of international caliber, placed atop a distinctly Swedish Rococo chest of drawers, upon which rests a bronze sculpture by Anders Zorn.
Among these highlights, the collection also features an Empire-style silver pitcher, graphic works by Max Ernst, Joan Miró, and Lucio Fontana, the Röda Esset rug by Märta Måås-Fjetterström, and Johannes Andersen’s 1960s classic Capri, produced by Swedish maker Trensum.
