The world's oldest auction house celebrates an incredible 350 years, and what could be more fitting than offering timepieces of the finest quality? If you press your ear against the display window on Nybrogatan, you can almost hear the precise ticking of all the wristwatches included in Selected Watches. There, gears interact with millimeter precision, hands move across the dials at just the right speed, and crowns and springs maintain the correct distance for the desired power reserves and chronograph functions.
A Rolex Day-Date in 18K is one of the highlights. It features a president bracelet and an English racing green dial. From the most eccentric environments of the 70s comes luxury and extravagance packaged in a Corum Rolls Royce, made of, needless to say, 18K gold. But it's not even half as sporty and freshly groomed as the Omega Seamaster with a blue rotating bezel around the sapphire crystal. Three examples that demonstrate the breadth of the theme.
