A rich and diverse selection of art and design is on the menu as Auktionsmagasinet Vänersborg presents "The Estate of a Collecting Couple"
The curated collection is the result of the lifelong collecting efforts of Marianne and Carl-Fredrik All. Together, they shared a deep interest in art and design. For over 60 years, they frequently attended art exhibitions, shows, and auctions. They often returned home with various artworks and art objects of all kinds. Sami handicrafts shared space in the large villa outside Uddevalla with African art, and furniture by Carl Malmsten could be seen alongside ceramics by Carl-Harry Stålhane. Over time, the Alls became acquainted with several artists, which added extra value to the items they surrounded themselves with. One such artist was Herman Fogelin, who is abundantly represented in the theme with his colorful ceramics. Another favorite was Ingegerd Råman, whose artistic work aimed for a diametrically opposite expression. In addition to these, you'll find furniture by other renowned designers like Børge Mogensen, exquisite works by Theresia Hvorslev, and a couple of impressive horse heads by Henrik Allert. From Designhuset, there are two truly extraordinary ceramic pieces (please note their size) by Carl-Harry Stålhane. Add a touch of royal correspondence and paintings by Lars Pirak, and you have some of the ingredients in "A Collector's Home."
Welcome!
