For four decades she has had her studio in an old miner's cottage in Falun. Before that she trained at Konstfack in Stockholm. A move to Dalarna changed her view of art, applied arts and traditions. But that her creative practice would result in a manifestation of playfulness – that was perhaps determined by fate.
At Uppsala Auktionskammare we are presented with a concentrated selection of Karin Ferner's work. And playfulness is certainly at the centre here. A brooch is shaped like a tube of toothpaste. A pendant looks like a swimsuit. A ring takes the form of a button.
In total, 27 lots of imaginative objects are on offer. A warm welcome to discover Karin Ferner!
