Stockholms Auktionsverk is honored to present The Avicii Collection - A charity auction.
Tim "Avicii" Bergling was one of our time's most celebrated and beloved producers, artists, and songwriters. Since 2018, he has been forever missed by family, friends, colleagues, and millions of fans worldwide. Today, he is one of the most iconic frontmen in the EDM world and one of the greatest in Swedish music history.
Now, Stockholms Auktionsverk presents a charity auction with 267 of Tim Bergling's personal items. All items have been donated by his family, and the proceeds will, in turn, be donated for the benefit of The Tim Bergling Foundation, which works for young people's mental health and well-being. The auction items are sold without reserve price or buyer's commission.
The selected items range from guitars, keyboards, drum kits, and other studio accessories to personal items such as clothing, sneakers, and hats. Among the expected highlights of the auction is a contact sheet with the press photos Mark Seliger took for the album release of 'True' in 2013. There will also be a DW drum kit and a Telefunken microphone. When it comes to clothes and accessories, Tim "Avicii" Bergling certainly had his own signature style, matching luxury brands with streetwear and pieces from his high school years in a laid-back way. Sitting at a grand piano in Louis Vuitton sneakers and a Patagonia cap was a given - and is reflected in the auction's catalog of items.

FAQ The Avicii Collection – A charity auction
Why is this auction being held?
Tim Bergling left behind some incredible things – among them, a significant number of his belongings, including sneakers, clothes, and instruments, that have been stored in Stockholm for the last six years. Given Tim’s lack of attachment to material things, his family decided that a charity auction is the most natural solution, with the proceeds directed towards The Tim Bergling Foundation. This auction will support the Foundation’s work for young people’s mental health and other causes close to Tim’s heart, such as endangered animals, nature, and climate. This way, Tim’s belongings can contribute to the positive change he always sought to inspire.
Where will the proceeds go?
The Avicii Collection is a charity auction, meaning no reserve or buyer’s commission. All proceeds will be donated to The Tim Bergling Foundation, founded by Tim’s parents, Klas Bergling och Anki Lidén, to commemorate their son’s memory. The Foundation advocates for the recognition of suicide as a global health crisis and actively works to remove the stigma attached to suicide and mental health issues. The Foundation works on prevention for young people’s well-being and mental health.
When will the auction be published?
The auction will be published in full on September 6th. Then, you will find all the items included online at stockholms auktionsverk.com and in The Avicii Collection – A charity auction catalog.
Where can I find the auction catalog?
The catalog will be published in the form of a digital version and a limited edition printed version. The printed catalog can be pre-ordered here. Fixed shipping rates applies to pre-ordering the limited edition catalog, depending on the destination.
Where is the auction held?
The live auction will be held at Stockholms Auktionsverk, Nybrogatan 32, in Stockholm, Sweden. Tim has always considered Stockholm his home, and Stockholms Auktionsverk is just around the corner from the apartment where he used to live. Of course, you can also follow and participate in the auction online.
What does ’no reserve, no commission’ imply?
At an auction, the reserve price is a confidential minimum price agreed upon by the seller and the auctioneer beforehand. If the bidding ends before the reserve price is reached, the lot will not sell. This restriction has been lifted as this is a charity auction and it means that each item (aka lot) can be sold at the starting price. The commission is a charge in addition to the hammer price, a set percentage that the buyer of an auction item is required to pay the auctioneer. This commission fee has been lifted as this is a charity auction and it means that there will be no additional fees added to the hammer price (besides potential shipping costs).
