The catalogue is finally here. With close to 800 carefully selected lots from auction houses from north to south, a high-octane selection is on offer with a wealth of highlights of every kind.
Here you will find some exceptional NK furniture, designed by Axel Einar Hjorth and Carl Hörvik respectively. From the latter, an armchair designed for Arts Décoratifs Suédois – a Swedish interior design shop that opened its doors in Paris in the late 1920s – is on show. Here you can savour Frithjof Smith-Hald's open-air dream in oil. And here a magnificent painting by Stellan Mörner is presented.
Also worthy of mention are a bronze lynx by Arvid Knöppel, Carl Eldh's "Amour", an enormous bull's head by Ulla and Gustav Kraitz and an Omega Constellation Chronometer Electronic.
The auction also encompasses antique silver, Orrefors glass, ceramics from Rörstrand and Gustavsberg, furniture by Josef Frank and Hans J Wegner and a carousel elephant so utterly charming that one simply wants to give it a hug.
