Rarely is the term "visual universe" more fitting than when it comes to Bruno Knutman's artistic career. Throughout his long artistic journey, he created his own universe where the subjects, figures, and places were directed and illuminated in an almost scenographic manner. Many times with a dystopian touch, other times with a more burlesque appeal. Thanks to Skånes Auktionsverk, we now get to enter Knutman's wondrous world and, like Alice in Wonderland, explore his idiosyncratic, sometimes threatening, occasionally warm, and often surprised cosmos. There are 30 artworks to behold, and among his oil paintings, you'll find black-and-white drawings, an expressive form that played a significant role for Knutman.
