So they stand there in a row again, the book spines on the shelves at Crafoord Lund. But it's different stories, different narratives between the covers. Once again, the auction house has gathered coveted volumes in a wide array of subjects. Max Beckmann's and Lily Braunbehren's 'Stadtnacht' is one of them, numbered 10 in an edition of 500 copies and containing seven original lithographs by Max Beckmann. Eric Salander's 'Underrättelse för gårdz-fogdar och land-hushållare' from 1727 is another. And the four volumes of 'Tàpies: The Complete Works 1943-1981' is a third. But these are just a few selections from a highly varied collection of books to be auctioned this September.
Of particular note is the lot of bookbinding tools - a goldmine for anyone considering starting something in this field. And a generally juicy offering for anyone enchanted by lying hammers, book presses with wooden screws, and title skins. Welcome to Crafoord Lund
