Founded in 1726, Rörstrand is Sweden’s oldest—and Europe’s second-oldest—porcelain factory. From the delicate faience of the 18th century to the stoneware and design classics of the 20th century, Rörstrand has shaped the history of Swedish design for three centuries.
To mark this legacy, we are presenting a themed auction featuring a curated selection of Rörstrand pieces. Highlights include a striking green-glazed stoneware horse head by Gunnar Nylund, as well as a faience apothecary jar from 1769, originally intended for a medicinal ointment known as "Locatelli’s balsam."
