Etymologists and those interested in language and history can trace the term Preciosa far back in the history books. Simply put, it can be translated as something beautiful or precious. And this is something Uppsala Auktionskammare has taken to heart as they now present 132 beauties under the heading Preciosa.
These are exquisite works in smaller formats. An excellent example is a chatelaine in two-tone gold and mother-of-pearl with enamel paintings. Another is a bracelet from Gustaf Möllenborg’s atelier, a finely crafted work in gold and enamel from 1849. A ladies’ wristwatch from Rolex is a third example.
Alongside these, a set of 99 silver cutlery pieces, a pill box with a royal monogram, a pair of cufflinks by Björn Weckström, elegant thimbles, and much more are also presented.
