Stockholms Auktionsverk Magasin 5 has put anxiously polished and tidied environments aside as they now offer us the theme Allmoge. Here, the objects have traveled through generations where the course of history has been allowed to leave its mark on them. An imitation-painted Hälsingland bureau with slender legs is a fine example of this. A so-called "fästmöräfsa" dated 1847 is another. And that chandelier from the 19th century with eight candleholders, isn't it just perfect for a highly contemporary interior feature?
Particularly fine examples of folk art are Kers-Erik Jönsson's tapestries. The same goes for a piece by Johannes Nilsson which is said to have been restored by the National Museum. In addition to the mentioned items, the auction also includes moon and drop-leaf tables, wooden troughs, breadbaskets, mortars, wooden plates, a hall-marked mirror, a birdcage, and much more.
