Angelika Kauffmann (1741-1807) was a Swiss-Austrian Neoclassical painter and one of the most renowned female artists of her time. She was born on October 30, 1741, in Chur, Switzerland, and showed exceptional talent in art from an early age. Her father, Johann Joseph Kauffmann, was a painter himself and recognized her abilities, providing her with artistic training.
In her teenage years, Kauffmann traveled extensively throughout Europe, visiting cities such as Milan, Rome, Florence, and London.
