In 1929, Olle Nordberg exhibits at Gummesons konsthall in Stockholm, giving the art enthusiasts of Stockholm all they can handle of naively depicted crofters and timbered farmsteads. The exhibition becomes a success, and over time Nordberg establishes himself as a Swedish modernist to be reckoned with - albeit with a warm eye for contemporary rural life.
At Stockholms Auktionsverk Magasin 5, twelve paintings are now on display, all exactly as Nordbergian as one could wish. In addition, there's a painting on a rug, as well as a floor clock painted by Nordberg himself! The rug has Chagall-like qualities, and the floor clock is filled with blooming flowers.
