Once again Palsgaard Kunstauktioner fills its showrooms with carefully selected Scandinavian design complemented by modern painting.
Palsgaard Curated May comprises over 100 lots. Alongside models by Nanna Ditzel, Kai Kristiansen and Hans J Wegner, a reclining armchair by Arne Norell, a square tile table by Jens Harald Quistgaard and a set of no fewer than twelve Folkestole by Børge Mogensen are on show. Among the ceramics, a piece by Emile Lenoble stands out – a name frequently mentioned when French Art Deco is discussed. A work of quite a different kind is the small box in 14K gold from E. L. Weimann. All of this in a mix that also includes a pair of Akademikroner by Poul Henningsen, an abstract composition by Mogens Balle, a record player designed by Dieter Rahms and Hans Gugelot, and much else besides.
