Kurage III: Caracole and Desertion

Welcome to Kurage Auktion’s third arms and militaria auction

As the October winds blow in, one of the season’s nicest quality auctions arrives on Auctionet. We have raised the bar for this event, offering a top-tier smorgasbord of arms history—featuring over 200 exceptional lots of antique arms and militaria. We have been entrusted with a substantial collection of firearms and edged weapons, which we are presenting across several auctions. This collection includes, among other items, a large number of pistols and rifles directly from the Cederström family of officers. Our reputation as an auction house specializing in antique arms has spread beyond Sweden’s borders, allowing us to acquire fine collections from other Nordic countries as well.

The firearms section boasts several highlights, including two German military wheellock guns from the mid-17th century, one of the few surviving m/1731 cavalry pistols, rare Swedish "conversion" models, and blunderbusses. The American section features fine Rogers & Spencer revolvers alongside breech-loading Maynard rifles. The auction also offers a number of exquisite cased pistols. Among the edged weapons, you will find many standard Swedish models as well as superb hussar sabres and officers' weapons. The 20th-century militaria selection includes combat knives, daggers, and medals. In the Oriental category, we present a magnificent silver-mounted miquelet gun alongside fine edged weapons.

Anders and Rasmus at Kurage Auktion wish you a wonderful auction experience!
