He would go on to work for almost half a century at the Gustavsberg factories — Berndt Friberg, one of the foremost figures of modern Swedish ceramics.
It all began at Höganäsbolaget more than a hundred years ago. But it would not be until 1934 that he came to Gustavsberg. There he developed into a master at the potter's wheel, and his vases and bowls were dipped in exquisite glazes.
Today his works are collector's items. At Norrlands Auktionsverk we are offered just over 30 examples of what he achieved in stoneware. But what deserves to be highlighted here in the introduction is more a matter of taste than anything else. The vases and bowls carry different forms and are dressed in shifting glazes.
