Uppsala Auktionskammare needs no introduction. But the fact that this esteemed auction house is now making its debut on Auctionet is certainly worth noting.
The premiere auction offers a rich assortment of art, crafts, and design. Traditional antiques are interspersed with more modern pieces, and here and there one encounters some more unusual items. For example, a slender lidded silver trophy from the Karlstad Exhibition of 1903, displayed alongside antique silver cups, mid-century coffee sets, and a Böhlmarks table lamp that is as Jugendstil as it could possibly be. Additionally, the auction features a pair of Malmsten armchairs in Baker fabric, a bouquet of roses by Olle Hjortzberg, and a mechanical fly from the German maker Issmayer.
But the items mentioned are just a few highlights from a catalogue containing nearly 100 lots.
