The 20th century American comic book history is usually divided into four time periods. Golden Age of Comics for the period 1938-1956, Silver Age of Comic Books for 1956-1970, Bronze Age of Comic Books for 1970-1985 and Modern Age of Comic Books from 1985 up to present day.
Stockholms Auktionsverk Helsingborg can now present an impressive collection of comic books under the title The Marvel of Comics - The Silver Age with comics from the period 1956-1970.
The highlight of the auction is the first edition of The Incredible Hulk from 1962 closely followed by number 2 of the same title.
The same year another well known character enters the Marvel universe with Thor making his first appearence in Journey into Myster #83. Another first appearence from that year is Ant Man in Tales to Astonish, also from 1962.
In total the auction offers 93 lots of comic books from both Marvel and DC Comics.
