IN SUPPORT OF UKRAINE'S CULTURAL LIFE
Göteborgs Auktionsverk is honored to auction a unique guitar from the Volia series, signed by 17 prominent musicians from western Sweden, including Håkan Hellström.
The Volia Guitar Project began in the spring of 2022, shortly after Russia's invasion of Ukraine. It is a collaboration between Universum Guitars in Kyiv and True Temperament AB in Trollhättan. During the first 12 months, seven guitars were built in Ukraine, reflecting the country's history and fight for freedom. These are unique, hand-built instruments. The project is under the patronage of President Zelenskyy and former Commander-in-Chief Zaluzhny, both of whom have signed guitars now housed in museums in Kyiv.
All proceeds from the sale of this guitar will go directly to the International Movement of Maestro Sergo Chanturia’s “Cultural Mission,” where the funds will be used for rehabilitation through culture for children affected by war.
