Palsgaard Kunstauktioner’s monthly auctions have become something to look forward to — especially for design enthusiasts. Alongside furniture by Hans J. Wegner, Ole Wanscher, Arne Vodder, and Josef Frank, the auction features modern and contemporary Danish ceramics. A vase by Patrick Nordström stands out in this category, as does Arne Bang’s marmalade jar.
A true gem of the auction is Just Andersen’s elephant, crafted in so-called “discometal.” The same can be said for the entire lighting section, which includes lamps by, among others, Vilhelm Lauritzen and Alvar Aalto.
