Signature Design Drop

Design history, retold four times a year: with the Signature Design Drop, we present a curated selection of outstanding furniture classics from seven design nations – Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, France, Denmark, and Sweden. Four times annually, this format brings together iconic designs that defined the style of their respective eras and have lost none of their creative power to this day.

The September edition brings together highlights of international standing dating back to the 1920s: Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, and Charlotte Perriand are
represented with the legendary "LC4" chaise longue, one of the most frequently cited pieces of modern furniture. From Switzerland comes the 22-piece modular sofa “DS600” also known as “Snake" by De Sede, a milestone in sculptural seating design of the 1970s. Michel Ducaroy's "Togo" for Ligne Roset exemplifies the revolutionary design language of that era, while Dieter Wäckerlin's teak sideboard model "S41" represents the sober purism of post-war German design. Vittorio Livi’s glass dining table “Ragno” for Fiam, along with a six-piece modular sofa from the 1970s, round out the collection with their light, flowing forms.
