Auktionshuset Kolonn has lifted the lid of the chest and is now pulling out one treasure after another. In total they are presenting over 100 lots. The first to flutter out is a pair of Marius Hammer's enamel butterflies — two exquisite examples of Norwegian silver art. Then there is a small Anna Petrus lion, a knight by Stig Lindberg, an Omega in 18K gold, and that figure from Widerholm & Dahlberg — he is still looking for his cufflinks.
The cuteness factor of the lidded box from French Limoges is off the charts, not to mention the little circus elephant from Royal Copenhagen. Considerably more austere is the silver vase from Guldsmeds Aktiebolaget and the drinking cups from Lycksele.
The most sleepy is Gösta Grähs sloth, the roundest is the salt and pepper set in the shape of fish, and the most richly detailed — well, that must surely be the napkin ring with miniature painting.
There we have a few appetisers that might tempt you. A warm welcome to Auktionshuset Kolonn and the theme Small Treasures!
