It's as if the Kingdom of Crystal had a branch office in Lund - more specifically, at Crafoord Auktioner Lund. The specialists there have long spoiled us with high-quality art glass. And now it's time again. In a rich thematic sale, we get 40 Swedish pieces plus one small French beauty signed by Emile Gallé.
Edvin Öhrström is responsible for a rare Ariel piece from the mid-1960s. It's bold and colorful, standing in total contrast to Simon Gate's delicate pieces from the 1920s. The bowl "Paradis" is a true collector's item. Speaking of Gate, his Graal piece, dated 1917, has an almost enchanting decoration and is a truly fantastic example of early art glass from Orrefors. Edward Hald, Sven Palmqvist, Monica Backström, and Vicke Lindstrand are among the other artist names featured in this theme.
