When Gomér & Andersson Nyköping presents A Collection of Stoneware, all of us who appreciate kneaded and thrown pottery are offered an unusually varied selection to choose from. A significant space has been given to Johan Thunell's expressive faces which can actually look a bit like anything. The similarities with Kai Nielsen's figures on bursting blue-purple grape clusters are few to say the least. And somewhere in between you find Patrick Nordström, Arne Bang, and Rolf Blixt. Specifically, Nordström is represented here by a piece that is 100 years old today, with stylized floral motifs. The oldest in the context is an exceptionally fine little piece by Nils-Emil Lundström in a Japanizing style rarely seen from Rörstrand. Don't miss it! The couple Triller, Claes Thell, and Åke Holm are some more artisans of rank who have contributed to this collection.
Welcome to discover it at Gomér Andersson Nyköping!
