It's hard to imagine any individual who has had a greater impact on the Swedish lighting industry during the second half of the 20th century than Hans-Agne Jakobsson. Since establishing his own company for the production of lamps in 1951, he introduced new models annually over several decades, leading to an extensive product range almost unparalleled in Sweden. Additionally, he initiated the founding of the Scandinavian Lighting Fair, which, from the early 1960s, became a highly significant forum for Scandinavian stakeholders in the lighting industry.
Now, Crafoord Auktioner in Lund presents a themed collection featuring eleven selected models by the lighting artist from Markaryd. The focus is on the 1960s, the decade during which Jakobsson's work truly began to flourish. Alongside two very well-preserved examples of the T-580 ceiling lamp with its waterfall of amber-colored glass shades, the theme is crowned by the magnificent T-606 from the Frants series.
