The engine is six-cylinder, develops 86 horsepower at 3400 rpm. In terms of sales, 1937 was a record year for Volvo cars.

Big Sale of Classic Cars in Sweden

On the 19:th of October a large sale of classic cars will take place in Simrishamn in the south of Sweden. It is a large part of the ”Autoseum” collection that will go under the hammer.

NOTE! This is a traditional hammer auction and absentee bids (proxy bids) are not visible prior to the auction. Absentee bids are confidential and handled by Göteborgs Auktionsverk during the auction.

The auction is arranged by Autoseum and Göteborgs Auktionsverk, a Swedish auction house in Gothenburg, established in 1681. The backbone of the collection is the von Rosen Collection from Skokloster, founded as early as in 1963. The cars were bought by Autoseum in Simrishamn in 2007.

After eight successful years as a car museum with over 100 000 visitors, a large part of the Autoseum Collection, compricing cars, motorbikes and other memorabilia, is now to be auctioned.

The auction is to be held at the Autoseum museum in Simrishamn on Monday the 19:th of October, with a public viewing at the same premices starting on Friday the 16:th, up to the day of the auction.
