André Vandenbeuck,KING LOUNGE CHAIR/STRÄSSLE/ Dimensions: 90x65x60(height x width x depth) André Vandenbeuck *1931, France/VARIOUS EXHIBITIONS/INTERNATIONAL/TEACHING AT THE École des Beaux Arts/CONTEMPORARY DESIGN/ After training as a furniture maker and interior designer, André Vaundenbeuck worked from 1962 until 1989 as a planner and designer for Mobilier International and Mobilier d'aujourd'hui Lille. From 1964 to 1989 he showed models at renowned exhibitions at home and abroad: Seven Salons des artistes décorateurs in Paris, Triennale Milano (French Pavilion), Eurodomus, special exhibition in the Palais du Premier Ministre Avenue Matignon, solo exhibition at the Institut d'art décoratif Lille. His Unica armchair and Unica chaise longue models are in the permanent collection of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs Paris.

From 1965 to 1999, André Vandenbeuck designed seating furniture exclusively for Strässle. The King Chair is probably one of the most well-known models from WK.
