Front cover with signatures of Ernst Elmqvist, Lund, and Gustaf Adolf Körner, Lund 1904. The latter is probably Magnus Körner's son. Cover also with inserted newspaper notice about a talk by Hans Erlandsson in Lund about "The city's older photographers." One of them was the famous lithographer Magnus Körner, who was probably the first practitioner of the art of photography in Lund.
The text of the bird section with the dedication pages to Axel Gustaf Gyllenkrok, who was Magnus Körner's benefactor in his youth.
Attached is a record in a torn cover with the texts and with six colored bird plates as well as the whole set of the mammals in black and white.
Condition
Band in good condition. The text of the bird part is layer stained and with a water stain in the upper outer corner. The first six bird plates uniformly toned and slightly sunned in the lower outer corners. A few plates to slightly toned. Plate no. 41 in poor condition with stains and repairs in the outer margin. Plate 42 with a brown stripe in the outer margin. Some of the mammal panels lightly toned and with some sunning in the lower outer corners.
In the attached extra lot, the panels are partly stained and the texts with edge tears.
