The Summer House in Österlen — it almost sounds like the title of a feel-good novel, doesn’t it?
And as you browse through the nearly 200 lots, you get the feeling that life must have been rather pleasant out there along the southeastern coast of Skåne.
The first thing that catches the eye is a bright pink Moment sofa by Niels Gammelgaard. It’s flanked by a pair of equally colourful Strajk tables, Staffan Hedqvist’s maritime markers nearby, a Braun record player, a couple of Lins lamps — and then, of course, the art.
Hanging everywhere, almost. A striking Hans Osswald, Bror Ingemar Fröberg’s hypnotic fields, Astrid Harms-Ringdahl’s “Stenshuvud, Österlen.” And so on, and so on.
Also note the moulded magazine rack — a piece of sleek, mid-century Swedish elegance — the sculptural plastics, and the Stig Lindberg ceramics.
Everything from The Summer House in Österlen.
