With many full page covers. NOTE: 3 of 4 volumes. The first volume is missing. Hochereau, Paris, 1758 for vol. 2 and Pissot, Paris, 1769 and 1771 for vol. 3 and 4. 3 rubbed 4th volumes in contemporary full leather bindings. Wear to extremities, but tight bindings. Interior partial some spotting and foxing and in one volume partial staining in a few outer margins. One plate more foxed. Illustrated with 30 + 33 + 23 full page copper engravings, numerous large engraved vignettes and cul de lamps after Moreau le Jeune, Eisen, Monnet, Boucher and others. The famous full page cul de lamp in the end of volume 4 is present. Incomplete set of one of the most beautifully illustrated French books in the 18h Century.

Condition

Wear to extremities, but tight bindings. Interior partial some spotting and foxing and in one volume partial staining in a few outer margins.
